CEO, Peninsula Leisure
Tim joined Peninsula Leisure as the Chief Executive Officer after an extensive career within sport, recreation and community industries, serving in CEO and executive commercial, marketing and facility management capacities.
Tim has developed a deep understanding of commercial and community engagement best practice, with success seen most recently at the award winning Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (Frankston, Vic) and his leadership when successfully integration of the Melbourne KFC Big Bash League teams with the cricket and broader community, highlighting the power of sport to engage and activate communities.
Activating Open Spaces through Digital Engagement
The creation of a digital platform for PARC Frankston, which now delivers a single customer view that helps facilitate informed communications between staff and members and a heightened customer experience, led PL to partner with SMC Strategies to develop Tek Trak, which aims to connect, capture and activate, elevating the action sports facility and digital experience, ultimately providing a level of skate park activation not currently available across the world.
This world first technology capitalises on consumer desire, the enormous current and forecast growth of wearable technology, tracking apps and devices, along with the high participation and the expected uplift in interest in action sports driven by Olympic inclusion.
Whilst the product is currently being developed in partnership with international events, design and construct experts and the international skate industry broadly, this presentation seeks to introduce the concept of data capture to facilitate strong activation outcomes in public spaces.
