Casey Stadium - Regional Indoor Stadium Planning & Partnership Success

The City of Casey will grow to over 540,000 residents by 2041 making its population larger than both Canberra and Tasmania. With over 150 different cultural backgrounds and a wide range of sport and recreation needs, maximising existing facilities is critically important. We will showcase the two-stage redevelopment of Casey Stadium to provide regional indoor sport, recreation and broader social, health and wellbeing outcomes for the Casey community. The facility accommodates local to national level Netball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Indoor Cricket, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton, and any array of other indoor uses. Strategic partnerships, relationship building and contract management has been key to the success in activating the stadium to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for Casey's diverse community.
