A Process for Sporting Success & Growth
Centennial Parklands is home to Australia's largest community sporting precinct with over 120 sporting facilities across three major parks. Through various sport programs and facilities, we promote a strong belief in the benefits of active living and facilitate the mechanism for physical activity for over a million participants annually.
Our challenge was that our internal systems and processes posed significant roadblocks to schools and community clubs engaging with the Parklands, and limited our capacity to maximise the use of our sports facilities. We made it our mission to completely reshape our interaction with the sports community, by establishing a new bi-annual seasonal booking process.
Through the seasonal booking process, we now successfully coordinate over 52,000 hours of usage annually, for some 450 sporting groups.
Carla will provide an overview of the process that creates the success and the lessons learnt during planning and delivery.
