MC Basil Zempilas

An accompished TV, radio and print journalist, Basil has been part of the Seven News team for 25 years, in which time his name has become synonymous with sport.

As well as presenting sport for Seven News in Perth each weeknight, Basil is part of the Seven Network's AFL commentary team where he leads the call on Saturday Night Footy and has recently added hosting Weekend Sunrise to his repertoire. In addition, Basil hosts and calls the Australian Open tennis for Seven, is master of ceremonies at the Melbourne Cup Carnival each year and in 2016 he attended his sixth Olympic Games for Seven where he called the swimming. When he's not on the TV, you can hear Basil on the radio, co-hosting the 6PR Breakfast program with Steve Mills.
